Dermal Fillers are injectable gels of hyaluronic acid (HA) which provide a simple, non-surgical solution to ageing.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring complex sugar in our body. It helps hydrate and add volume to your skin.  As our skin ages, the collagen and hyaluronic acid in our body, which gives our skin its support and structure, starts to diminish causing our lips to lose their fullness and appearance of  lines, wrinkles and folds on our face and hands.

Dermal Fillers are lab fabricated hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin that mimics the body’s natural depleted hyaluronic acid. Once injected the fillers provide support and structure to the skin, giving a plumped and youthful appearance.  The injected Hyaluronic Acid integrates into deeper layers of the skin, filling lines and wrinkles as well as working from within to attract water and restore volume, with effects lasting up to a year, when your body will gradually break down the filler and the effects will fade.

The longevity of the product varies pending on age, area injection site, quality of skin, life style, healthiness and is usually 6-12 months (face) and 3-6 months (lips).

Following injection, you may experience slight side effects such as redness, swelling or bruising at the injected areas. These side effects will not last and can be easily covered up with your usual make-up. All skin injection procedures carry a small risk of infection.

Prior to filler treatment, it is advisable you avoid using aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs a couple of days before your injection. This will reduce the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection site. There is no need for an allergy test.
